As we are moving into a season of gratitude and giving, we are offering the opportunity for you and your family to give back and love your local and global neighbors!

We want to work to help alleviate food insecurity here in Middle Tennessee and in Egypt. Food insecurity is something faced by our neighbors both locally and globally often through no fault of their own. We’re committed to help tackle this in two practical ways…

Do Good Locally

Bring food items and help your neighbors flourish

Across Middle Tennessee we have identified specific partners that are meeting specific local food needs. You can help our neighbors flourish by bringing food items that meet their needs.

Do Good Globally

JUST $35 CAN MAKE ALL THE DIFFERENCE

Supply chain issues and lack of resources contribute to food insecurity in Egypt. A donation of $35 will provide nutritious and sufficient food for a family for a month, and bring much needed hope.

DO GOOD LOCALLY

Locally, food insecurity can be caused by lack of proximity to grocery stores, the rising cost of housing, and low wages. We are coming alongside our Local Good partners at each campus who are providing access to food for our neighbors in need.

Starting Sunday, November 6, you can pick up a food list and a bag at your Cross Point campus, head to the grocery store to pick up the items on the list, and then return your bag by Sunday, November 20.

DO GOOD GLOBALLY

Food insecurity is a reality that families face across the globe. Whether caused by war, global crises, or the pressure of high cost of living and low wages, food insecurity is a reality for many families.

When Sudan and South Sudan split in 2011, the Nuba Mountain region, though aligned with South Sudan in the war, were annexed to Sudan. Because of this, the Sudanese government is executing a “scorched earth” policy against the Nuba people, attempting to eliminate any opposition. Because of this, many Nuba people are fleeing the violence north to Egypt, where finding work is difficult, persecution is high and their children are often unable to go to school

We are partnering with Operation Mobilization and are looking to feed at least 263 Sudanese Refugee families. Why not pledge at least $35 to this worthy cause? You can give individually, as a family, with colleagues, roommates or with your Group.

Give Today

Naomi is a widow who escaped violence in her homeland and lives in a one bedroom apartment with her four daughters. Once Naomi pays the rent for her apartment, there is very little leftover for food, not to mention for education or childcare.

Naomi dreams for her girls to grow up safely. The young girls dream of becoming doctors and lawyers to repair their homeland. These dreams are attainable, but this family needs some outside intervention.

That’s where you can play a part! Click the link below to donate to this cause and support families like Naomi’s.
