FAQs FOR PARENTS
We don’t know about you, but we are eager for a little bit of normal. While we can’t go backwards, our goal here in Cross Point Kids is to provide your family with some consistency. Below you will find answers to the most commonly asked questions in regards to how we plan to regather.
Cross Point Kids will be opening its doors on Sunday, November 1st! we will be offering an experience for your child at both our 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM service times.
What campuses will provide a Cross Point Kids experience?
Bellevue, Dickson, Franklin, and Mt. Juliet will all be ready and open for your family.
When will Hendersonville offer Cross Point Kids?
We hope very soon! Our Hendersonville location remains a portable campus. As we do not have a permanent facility, this requires a few more steps to ensure the health and safety of your child during COVID-19. Stay tuned for more information from your local Kids’ Director!
When will Nashville offer Cross Point Kids?
Our Nashville campus will remain closed for a little while longer. Due to the effects of the March 2020 tornado, our Cross Point Kids hallways are currently under construction. While we do not have a definite reopen date for our Kids’ hallways, we are working hard to provide an experience for both you and your child in the near future. Stay tuned for more information from your local Kids’ Director!
Will you limit the number of kids in a room?
Our goal is to keep your child safe while they are in our care. Our team will be managing the size of the room as well as the number of people it can hold. We will not be meeting capacity in any of our spaces, due to safety reasons. While we will be monitoring each room closely as more kids arrive, our hope is to never turn anyone away. We will let you know upon arrival if there is limited space available.
We will have screening questions posted in our hallways. However, we will not be doing temperature checks at this time. We would encourage you to check your child’s temperature before coming that morning.
If your child is presenting any symptoms, we are going to ask that you bring them back when they are symptom-free.
What will check-in look like for my child?
Upon entering the Cross Point Kids hallway, a volunteer will be waiting at one of our check-in stations to help you. In an effort to reduce contact, the volunteer will enter your family’s name into our check-in computer, and provide name tags for your child to wear. Additionally, volunteers will verify your contact information in the event we need to reach you during the service. All volunteers will wear both a mask and gloves and hand sanitizer will be provided at each of our check-in computers.
Will I be able to take my child to their small group/classroom? Absolutely! A volunteer will greet you at the door and will help your child transition into small group. We would love to limit to one parent or guardian in the hallway, in an effort to promote social distancing.
My family and I have never attended Cross Point Kids. How do we check in our child? We are SO excited you are considering Cross Point Kids! We can’t wait to meet you and your family! When entering the Cross Point Kids hallway, a smiling volunteer will be waiting to help you check-in. We will ask for your family contact information, as well as specifics regarding your child. Our Guest Check-In host will then take you and your child to their appropriate room.
Do I need to reserve a spot for my child? Getting ready and out the door on a Sunday morning is a lot. So to make it easier, we will not be doing pre-registration or a ticket system for your child. All you need to do is show up to whichever experience you would like to attend!
Absolutely! We will have a clearly laid path for you to follow, in an effort to promote social distancing in our hallways..
Yes! As a team, both our staff and volunteers will be smiling to see you, but behind a mask!Does my child need to wear a mask? Masks will not be required; however, we strongly encourage their use. To the best of our ability, we will be encouraging our families to follow the highest level of precaution of your local schools. We want to partner with your community and compliment what is happening in your home.
We encourage you to have a conversation with your child about what your preference is as a family. Disposable masks will be available to anyone that would like one (but feel free to bring your own!).
In an effort to reduce the spread of germs, we are no longer going to be serving a snack during the morning. Please feel free to provide something for your child before or after the service!
We have room cleaning processes and standards in place to make sure all surfaces are cleaned thoroughly. This includes, but is not limited to, door handles, chairs, tables, and check-in screens. All cleaning solutions used are approved by the EPA, and are able to kill coronavirus when used appropriately. Trash will be removed before and after each service, with new liners placed in them. Further, high touch, hard to clean items will be removed from our rooms.
Will you provide hand sanitizer?
EVERYWHERE – we will have hand sanitizer available around the premises for leaders and families.
All leaders and parents of a room, during their attended hour, will be notified immediately of the confirmed case.
My child has been confirmed COVID-19 positive. Who should I inform?
We ask that you call your local Kids’ Director upon confirmation. We’ve got your back and will make sure anyone that was exposed is notified.
What will happen if a child presents symptoms during an experience?
If a child begins presenting symptoms of an illness during their time at Cross Point Kids, you will be contacted immediately by your local Kids’ Director. Please make sure to update your contact information at check-in before dropping off your child.
