Ever walked through a time of suffering? Are you entering into the Christmas season with more sorrow than expectation? Does hope seem a distant memory, or a luxury that you have not been afforded?
This Christmas we will learn that to grow in hope, we probably have to reframe the way we think about it. Perhaps hope can become an instrument that we begin to practice, a skill we develop, and a truth that becomes more and more present in our lives.
“BEHOLD” is God’s way of drawing attention to something important. Over 2000 years ago, God declared it over an unassuming stable in Bethlehem. This was His most important work; the hope we all crave, wrapped in swaddling cloths. A royal king, a prince of peace in dirt and squalor. Freedom from sin and shame in the form of a helpless baby.
How will we BEHOLD Jesus this Christmas?
