Hey Cross Point,
I want to thank you for your faithfulness; the ways you’ve given, served, invited and lived out your faith in 2023 has been truly inspiring.
I’m grateful for your partnership and the way we’ve seen the Lord do incredible things in and through our church. In 2023, together, we invested a total of $2,687,096 in Local and Global Good. This includes Dollar Club, Disaster Relief, End-of-Year Giving, Global Trips and projects, Serve the City, partnerships and Benevolence.
You have been an important part of each of the following highlights, examples of the way God has been moving through our church community this year…
Pastor Kevin Queen
BAPTISM
We saw over 562 baptisms across our Middle Tennessee campuses – that’s an incredible amount of people going public with their faith through baptism, but each number is a person whose life has been changed, like Rick’s. Baptisms are only a percentage of the decisions for Christ that have been made this past year. Most every week we hear about faith decisions made in our services and prayer meetings, in Groups and at God Behind Bars, and many other environments beyond the walls of our buildings. Your giving is making an eternal difference.
LOCATIONS
This year we have seen an average weekly in-person attendance of almost 5,000 adults and almost 1,000 kids across our physical locations. Our online campus continues to grow as well, as our data shows that almost 5,000 people on average are watching and worshipping with us online every week. Also, our Next Gen is thriving with almost 500 college, high school and middle school students gathering for their own services to find and follow Jesus together through Cross Point College and Cross Point Students!
Last year was a year of so many beginnings, but we also had an important chapter to close in 2023 following COVID and the tornado that hit our Nashville campus, when months after opening the Cross Point Kids spaces at Nashville we were able to open a new office space for our staff. This space supports staff from all of our campuses and gives them a more collaborative space to be able to better accomplish ministry at all of our campuses and throughout Middle Tennessee.
SERVING
Our Sunday services and Next Gen gatherings are all made possible because of our volunteers! On average, 740 volunteers span our campuses to be the hands and feet of Jesus through parking cars, playing instruments on stage, taking social media videos, leading Groups, caring for kids, making sure we have plenty of coffee to drink and so much more.
PRISON
MINISTRY
Some of the most incredible, life-altering moments are happening outside our walls, but within the walls of prisons in Middle Tennesee and across the nation through God Behind Bars and the Pando App. On average we saw about 85 women in the Debra K. Johnson Rehabilitation Center show up for service each week. On the Pando App, there were 21,042 Cross Point subscribers and 1,631,785 service views by inmates, resulting in 2,056 decisions for Christ.
Local, Global & Groups
At Cross Point we believe in doing good together, whether in our neighborhoods or the nations. Last year, we saw over 3,500 people, like Hannah, participate in Local Good projects around Middle Tennessee and 111 people, like Dave, went to share the hope of Jesus abroad across 12 global trips in seven different countries. Also, in homes, restaurants, coffee shops, and more, across Middle Tennessee and online, 4,789 people met in Groups each week, like Lisa.
GENEROSITY
Your generosity didn’t stop with regular giving that made all of the above possible. Each time we asked you to give a dollar above and beyond your regular giving toward Dollar Club in 2023, you did, and it totaled to $390,133! That money went to individuals and organizations like The Freedom Aviation Network, which is helping rescue individuals from trafficking with volunteer pilots.
We also asked you to give toward End-of-Year Giving in December to support Both Hands, Convoy of Hope, God Behind Bars and the Pando App – and I’m happy to report to you that because of your End-of-Year Giving, we were able to give $525,000 to these organizations!
God has been so good to our church, every number above represents a person with a story. You have played an important role in each and every number listed, your generosity makes a difference.
Throughout 2023 we felt the continued calling to our mission, and saw countless examples of the way people, in Middle Tennessee and beyond, are continuing to Find and Follow Jesus.
As we look to 2024, our continued prayer is to see even greater impact; renewal in our heart, revival in our cities and awakening across Middle Tennessee.
